Job Title: DESIGNER

Location: EAST LONDON

 

We are looking for an established designer to join our design team at House of Sunny. You will be working closely with the Creative Director and Head Designer across all product categories on bi-annual collections for both Womenswear and Menswear. You will research and create new, innovative, and thoughtful designs, creating mood boards, new prints, sourcing new fabrics and creating tech-packs for factories. You will be a key contributor in building an innovative, sustainably sourced, balanced range, consistently introducing fresh ideas, and delivering a collection true to the House of Sunny handwriting.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Researching, developing, and designing 2 collections a year for both womenswear and menswear ranges in line with House of Sunny handwriting

  • Adhering to a critical path to achieve deadlines, ensuring product is developed for the relevant and optimum selling period

  • Research seasonal theme, inspiration, fabric, and colour concepts 

  • Researching, developing, and designing across multi-product category, including identifying key shapes for the season and creation concept proposals

  • Designing and developing innovative and creative prints

  • Reacting to sales information and liaising with merchandising team to update and develop our range

  • Tracking sample development and updating other teams of collection timelines

  • Working with production team on fits

  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.

  • Execute technical sketches of garments and technical packages to be sent to factories

  • Aid in the research of new sustainable fabrics and trims

 

Skills and experience you will need:

 

  • Has previous 4+ experience designing multi -product in a similar brand

  • Expert in Adobe Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign)

  • Strong handwriting and understanding of the House of Sunny customer

  • Expert knowledge of fabrics, cut and construction

  • Skilled in Excel

  • Strong grasp sustainable fashion solutions. Material innovation and product development

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced creative environment

  • Skilled in creating prints – All over prints, repeat pattern, placement print and motif design

  • Experience working with international suppliers

Job Title: PRODUCTION MANAGER

Location: EAST LONDON

 

We are looking for an established Production Manager to join our design team at House of Sunny. You will be responsible for the entire production process from initial fits to on-time delivery of stock, to the highest quality at the right price. This role will require you to work closely with the Creative Director and design team, as well as the sales, logistics, finance, and marketing departments. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Oversea the whole production process and provide complete information on costing and technical data

  • Develop and manage production timelines, updating schedules, deliveries, and comments daily. 

  • Ensuring all production is delivered on time, meeting quality standards set and within budget

  • Daily correspondence with international suppliers

  • Negotiate pricing and delivery with suppliers and raising POs

  • Create and attend regular meetings for samples alongside design team and ensure all garments are in accordance with requirements as well as providing inputs on fit and finish amendments and amending tech-packs if necessary

  • Knowledge and understanding of all technical specification sheets. Accountable for the accuracy of all tech-packs sent out to factories

  • Leading all fit sessions, ensuring clear fit comments and measurements are communicated to factories in a timely manner considering design aesthetic, factory capability, fabric, and trims

  • Creating grading specs ensuring House of Sunny grading measurements are followed and sizing is consistent across each collection

  • Manage all QC of bulk production and any quality issues that may arise

  • Manage all label and packaging production and design

  • Work closely with logistics team to ensure all stock arrives in correct warehouse on time 

  • Ongoing assessment of existing supplier base and sourcing of new suppliers that offer competitive pricing, reliability, sustainable practices and fabrics, and good quality product in line with margin requirements and order volumes for both existing and new categories of products

 

Skills and experience you will need:

 

  • Has previous 5+ experience in production for a similar brand

  • Confident using Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Expert knowledge of fabrics, trims, cut and construction

  • Expert knowledge of fits and grading

  • Expert experience working and communicating with international suppliers

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent planning, prioritisation, problem solving and organisational skills.

  • Strong grasp of sustainable fashion solutions. Material innovation and product development
